 CONDUCTOR

It is the one that transmits electrical current from one place to another. The conductor is usually made of copper or aluminium, and despite the electrical advantages of copper over aluminum, aluminum is the common one for use due to its cheap price, ease of obtaining, and also ease of assortment.
The conductor is either solid, i.e. a single hair, or braided, meaning a number of hairs. Braided is distinguished from solid by its flexibility and increased surfaces, which makes it withstand more electrical current than solid. Therefore, braided conductor is used for large sections and for high loads and voltages, unlike solid.
